Lewis Hamilton F1 Mercedes races to Sri Lanka in rare display

Sri Lanka got its fair share of Formula 1 racing yesterday as duty free operator Autogrill Lanka Ltd unveiled the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 racing car used by former World Champions Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The Colombo stock market yesterday lost steam and seemingly let down the euphoria triggered by the unprecedented and positive meeting between brokers and President Mahinda Rajapaksa the previous day.
In a volatile session in terms of movement of the two indices the Bourse scraped through to finish flat though turnover was an encouraging Rs. 1.67 billion.
Upali quits Nawaloka Hospitals Board
Upali Dharmadasa has resigned from the Board of Nawaloka Hospitals Plc, after a 26-year stint.
At the time of his resignation he was functioning as a Non Executive Director.
Nushad to take up regional role at Axiata
Dialog Axiata PLC announced yesterday the secondment of its Group Chief Marketing Officer Nushad Perera to take up a regional role at the Headquarters of the Axiata Group Berhad in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
Perera’s new role will be in the capacity of a Senior Vice President within the Group Strategy function of the Axiata Group, and will commence in January 2012.

US trade delegation to explore investment opportunities
