‘Promising Young Woman’ in 7 Lankan cinemas from today

American black comedy thriller ‘Promising Young Woman’ will be screened in seven Sri Lankan cinemas from today. They are Liberty by Scope Cinemas, Colombo City Centre, Savoy – Colombo, Savoy Rajagiriya, Empire, PVR – Cinemas and Majestic Ultra Cinema.

The film written, produced, and directed by Emerald Fennell in her feature directorial debut. Margot Robbie serves as a producer through her LuckyChap Entertainment production company.

Carey Mulligan stars as a woman who seeks to avenge her best friend, who was a victim of rape. Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Clancy Brown, Jennifer Coolidge, Laverne Cox, and Connie Britton co-star.

Nothing in Cassie’s life is what it appears to be – she’s wickedly smart, tantalisingly cunning, and she’s living a secret double life by night. Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs from the past.
