Sri Lanka retains 179th position!

Sri Lanka has retained its 179th position in FIFA rankings out of 206 countries as at September 2012 released yesterday.

Sri Lanka was a few notches below 169th ranked India and Pakistan at 177 whilst South Asian nations the tiny Maldives was highest ranked at 159 up two notches followed by Afghanistan and Nepal were above both at 165 and 166 respectively.

Spain was on top followed by Germany and England with the trio’s positions remaining unchanged.
