HNB “A”, the 2020 runners-up and Sri Lanka Telecom were declared as joint winners, at the 3rd MCA – Maliban Masters Cricket “Sixes” 2022 concluded on 27 August at the MCA and Royal College grounds.
The final had to be abandoned halfway, due to bad light; in four balls per over Final, HNB “A” batting first, scored 45 for 1 in 5 overs and SLT was 7 for 2 in two overs, when the match was called off.
The Semifinal (four ball overs) at MCA Grounds, finished dramatically, as the match between the defending Champions Sampath Bank and Sri Lanka Telecom finished in a “tie” and was extended to the wicket keepers contest, which was won by Sri Lanka Telecom. In the other Semi Final at Royal College grounds, HNB “A” (55/0 in 3) beat Amana Takaful (51/1)
