German travel organisation TVG Touristik, a subsidiary of premier tour operator FTI Touristik, arrived in the island on a VIP familiarisation tour, upon the invitation of the local travel industry.

FTI is one of the leading tour operators in Germany, which is among the first Third Key German Tour Operators.

They are being hosted by local inbound travel agent House of Travels and Tourism (H.O.T Tourism). The delegation, which was led by Birgit Aust, was warmly welcomed by the officials of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) upon their arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

They will be in Sri Lanka until tomorrow and during their tour they will have the opportunity to have a round tour of the Cultural Triangle, visit Kawdulla National Park, experience a hot air balloon ride in Kandalama Lake early in the morning, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy and take part in a train ride from Kandy to Watawala. Afterwards they will travel Down South where they will be led by an experienced national tourist guide lecturer, who will accompany them on this tour and brief them on the ancient history of the majestic Galle Dutch Fort.
