Trinity skipper Reshan  Bandaranayake makes a strong move

Trinity bounced back in grand style thanks to a magnificent second half six-try blitz at their Pallekele Rugby Stadium where the Antonians could not score any. Antonians dominated the first half with a penalty and a converted try which Trinity replied with one of them. 

Antonian skipper Makarim played his heart out without much support from his teammates. Ekanayake did kicking duties for the Katugastota lads.

For Trinity, their tries were scored by Nethwara, Reshan Bandaranyake, Nimesh Ekanayake, Amith Kulatunge, Dhirendra Ratwatte, Geeshaba Kulatunge (two) and Trevin Karunanayake.

 

Joes continue winning streak

St. Joseph’s College outclassed Zahira College 47/5 at Havelock Park.

Joes scored their tries through Tharindu Maduranga, Reshan Gunawardena, Santhush Algama, Tharindu de Alwis, Sudarak Devapriya, Nehan Perera plus a penalty try. Santhush Algama was in a cracking form with the boots. 

Mihran scored the only try for Zahira who are still searching for their first win while Joes remain unbeaten in their matches so far.

 

Peterites score the highest points in League

St. Peter’s College scored the highest points in the Singer League 2019 so far when they ran riot in a 12-try blitz in Kurunegala.

The lads from Bambalapitiya after leading 40 to nothing at the short breather, ended up on 82 points where the newcomers to top division could not score any points.

 

Isipathana outclass Science

Isipathana continued their unbeaten streak in the league with an easy 35/8 win over the lads from Mount Lavinia after leading 25/3 at the short breather.
