SLPA Gold Award Ceremony 2020 for retired employees on Wednesday

The 2020 Gold Award ceremony for retired employees of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority will be held on 26 February at the Temple Trees in Colombo. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will be the Chief Guest of the event, which will also be attended by the Minister of Ports and Shipping Johnston Fernando, State Minister of Port Development Kanaka Herath and Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Chairman General Daya Ratnayake.

The award is a once-in-a-lifetime token for retired employees of SLPA, given in appreciation of their tremendous and dedicated performance during their tenure. Of these, 438 have been selected as eligible for this year’s awards, counting more than 15, 25 and 35 years of service.

The event is the 10th consecutive Gold Award Ceremony for retired SLPA employees that started parallel to the 35th anniversary of the SLPA in 2014.
