The gala awards night hosted at Shangri-La Hotel Hambantota under the patronage of the company’s Executive Committee, recognised top performing business partners that strengthened INSEE’s position as the undisputed leader in the local cement retail market.

The theme of the 2020 ceremony ‘Nawa Jawayakin Peratama’ (Marching Forward with New Vigour) was unveiled by INSEE Cement Head of Retail Sales Sujeewa Perera, followed by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Nandana Ekanayake addressing the gathering. The Chairman/CEO briefed the audience on the progress made by the company during the past year, and the ambitious targets that have enabled the INSEE partner network to set benchmarks in the market reach and new market penetration.

“The loyalty and support of our business partners has ensured INSEE Cement’s continued dominance in the local retail market,” Ekanayake stated at the event. “As the demand for high quality sustainable construction escalates, we are committed to cater to the future needs of Sri Lanka’s evolving construction industry.”

The glamorous event power-packed with musical acts and entertainment kicked off with the presentation of 15 regional awards recognising the top three business partners across Sri Lanka.

INSEE Cement Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Innovations Jan Kunigk continued the festivities by announcing the Special Recognition Award nominees for 2020. “For the second year running, we are presenting a special award to a Business Partner for value creation through innovative sales initiatives, going the extra mile to create more equity for the INSEE brand,” Kunigk stated.

Three projects were shortlisted and nominated for the award, with all business partners participating in a live vote to choose the winner. New Central Stores Kandy achieved the award for their fully automated sales operation implemented in 2019.
