Special service to mark PM’s 40 years of service

A special religious service was held on Tuesday to commemorate 40 years of service to the people of Sri Lanka by Ranil Wickremesinghe as a Member of Parliament, Cabinet Minister and Prime Minister.  

The service was held at St. Mary’s Church, Lauries Road, Bambalapitiya.

The special service was presided over by His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo.  The service was organised by the Catholic and Christian community of Sri Lanka who presented a memento to the Prime Minister to mark the occasion.  A large gathering was present including Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan and Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs Minister John Amaratunga.
