Jayatilleka attends Trialogue Club discussion on multilateral security models in new power struggle

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka accompanied by Sanja Jayatilleka attended the joint discussion on the pressing topic of multilateral security models in the new power struggle. The meeting was co-organised by the Trialogue Club International and the Embassy of Switzerland to Russia and was held in the Residence of the Ambassador of Switzerland in Moscow. 

Russian Academy of Sciences Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations Director Dr. Feodor Voytolovsky, one of the most prominent Russian experts on global governance and transformations of the international order, was leading the discussion and spoke about new strategic balance of economic, political and military powers and future of international world order.

The guests were welcomed by Swiss Defence Attache in Russia and current Doyen for Military and Defence Attaches in the Russian Federation Col. Bruno Russi. PIR Center Director, Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Center for Global Trends and International Organisations Head Dr. Vladimir Orlov and Trialogue Club International Chairman and PIR Center Executive Board Chairman Lieutenant-General Evgeny Buzhinskiy addressed the audience with introductory remarks on key developments in the current international agenda.

During the Q&A Session Ambassador Jayatilleka posed questions to Dr. Voytolovsky on US-Russia and US-China relations and methodology used for forecasting and system analyses. Ambassador of India to Russia D. Bala Venkatesh Varma and Defence Attaché of Germany participated in the conclusion discussion.  

The official part of the meeting was followed by informal luncheon discussion on the trends in global political and economic dynamics, growing interdependence and competitiveness.
