Associated Motorways Ltd. continues to drive the spirit of innovation with the launch of the new Yamaha NMAX 125 premium scooter. This revolutionary scooter was unveiled by AMW Managing Director Brandon Morris, AMW Director Passenger Vehicles Yohann de Zoysa and Yamaha Deputy General Manager Zahran Ziyawudeen, at the famed Colombo Motor Show, which was held at the BMICH on 8, 9 and 10 November, with the launch of the Yamaha NMAX 125 happening on the 8th.

The Yamaha NMAX 125 is a premium entry-level scooter, which incorporates the latest Japanese technology and is engineered for the urban rider with a passion for perfection and modern taste. The scooter combines a host of superior features, which gives it hard-hitting performance, economic riding, dynamic design, futuristic style, and the best all-round capability of any top-of-the-line scooter on the market.

Yohann de Zoysa had this to say: “Yamaha continually introduces superior products to the market in line with customer requirements. The brand strives to understand the pulse of its riders and everything we do is aimed at satisfying their needs. Yamaha enjoys a market share of over 20% in Sri Lanka. Our brand’s strength comes from the fact that we focus purely on motorcycles and this specialisation enables a superior product. It gives me great pride to unveil our latest innovation, the Yamaha NMAX 125 scooter, which incorporates Japanese technology and is undoubtedly the best scooter, in its range, in the market. I would like to also mention that we have some exciting new reveals planned within the next few months which are sure to delight riders.”

“The Yamaha NMAX 125 outclasses with a sporty chassis giving it outstanding handling and agility, making it easier to ride and manoeuvre. The engine is one of the most advanced 125cc blue core tech, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, EU4-compliant engines, offering quick response and excellent acceleration. The specially designed engine also features fuel injection and a Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system which delivers superior power, while lowering emissions. Great performance and speed require the best stopping power and con dent braking delivers advanced control with 230mm discs and ABS as standard. This, in turn, enables safer riding and greater stopping power, so you can take to the road with absolute confidence,” explained Zahran Ziyawudeen.

Moreover, he explained, “The 13-inch wheels and wide tyres further ensure smooth road holding in whatever road conditions, while offering extra traction in wet conditions. The Yamaha NMAX 125 gives riders a roomy interior with plenty of legroom for better overall comfort and safety, there is also ample room for a pillion passenger. The high-tech scooter comes equipped with a spacious storage compartment that can easily accommodate a full-face helmet, rider’s jacket, and more. The Yamaha NMAX 125’s dynamic styling delivers so much more than a sleek, futuristic and dynamic design. It also improves performance by being aerodynamic, with a distinctive boomerang motif that makes it stand out on the road or anywhere else. The look is completed by the twin-eye headlight and sharp-looking front fenders.”

The Yamaha NMAX 125 similarly comes with numerous other cutting-edge features, which puts it in a class of its own. The LED lights and LCD instruments give it a distinctive look and are available in three eye-catching variants, black, white, and blue.

“Following its launch at The Colombo Motor Show, The Yamaha NMAX 125 will be available island-wide via Yamaha’s 245 plus sales dealers. Riders can always count on the most comprehensive AMW after-sales services and spare parts that offer excellent value for money. The added convenience of being available throughout the island guarantees the best care for your Yamaha. Additionally, special leasing facilities can be arranged, either by visiting the designated Yamaha Zone at The Colombo Motor Show or your favourite Yamaha sales dealer,” said AMW Managing Director Brandon Morris.
