Fayaz, Sega and Rohitha elevated to ‘Chartered Manager Companion’ status

Fayaz Saleem Past President of CMI and Founder and President Emeritus of The Management Club, together with Sega Nagendra and Rohitha Mendis both of whom are past Presidents of the Institute, were elevated to ‘Chartered Manager Companion’ status by the Chartered Management Institute UK recently. 

Companion membership is the highest form of membership which is generally conferred by invitation on members for outstanding management and leadership.

The Chairman, Board of Companion, of the Chartered Management Institute UK, Bob Cryan CBE CMgr CCMI, had this to say in his letters to Fayaz Saleem who was elected a Companion in August 2012, whilst Sega Nagendra in April 2014 and Rohitha Mendis in July 2015: “On behalf of all of us at CMI I would like to congratulate you on your CMgr CCMI status and thank you for all that you do in setting the highest standards of management and leadership across the globe!

He went on to say: “Your appointment to Companion was in recognition of your outstanding leadership excellence and as a Companion, you are a role model not only for current CMI members but also for the wider management community. Our membership team has mapped the experience of Companions against the requirements of Chartered Manager and I am pleased to say that they have been able to confirm that, as a Companion you meet these requirements of Chartered Manager.”

Bob Cryan continued to state, “At this volatile time we believe that Companions and CMgrs can play a vital role. What you are doing in the organisations you work with, needs to be applied on the international stage. As Chartered Companions, we have a responsibility to support the CMI in addressing issues by increasing the number of qualified leaders and managers.”
