PUMA opens new store in Sri Lanka

Global sportswear brand PUMA announced the launch of its new store in Sri Lanka. Located in One Galle Face Mall, Colombo, the store is spread over 77 sqm., showcasing the widest array of the company’s latest performance and Sportstyle products. 

Sri Lankan national cricket team former captain Kumar Sangakkara was present at the store to experience the brand and interact with consumers. The internationally acclaimed brand is represented in Sri Lanka through the country’s leading footwear marketer and retailer, D. Samson & Sons Ltd.

The store provides an immersive PUMA brand space – offering consumers a unique shopping experience, complete with a wide collection of footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids to suit their sports and lifestyle requirements. The captivating design with clean lines and a very modern look and feel ensures that products demand attention, stand out and resonate with the consumer.  Talking about the launch of the latest store, PUMA India Managing Director Abhishek Ganguly said: “Sri Lanka has a rapidly growing sporting culture. Our latest store in One Galle Face Mall is testimony of our commitment to athletes and fitness enthusiasts in the country. In addition to the newest store at One Galle Face, D. Samson & Sons operates exclusive PUMA outlets in Bambalapitiya, Havelock Town, and a shop-in-shop at Kandy City Centre. Selected PUMA items are also available in all DSI Premier outlets islandwide.

The country’s most notable personalities, star cricketers of the Sri Lanka team Wanindu Hasaranga, Minod Bhanuka, Danushka Gunathilaka, Avishka Fernando and Asanka Wijeyawardena were present at the opening of this store.  Also present at the launch were senior management members from PUMA India and D. Samson & Sons, including PUMA India Regional Sales Manager Raghav Ahuja, Thusitha Rajapaksa, D. Samsons & Sons Directors Kaushalya Perera and Asanka Rajapaksa.
