e-Swabhimani 2018 Digital Social Impact Awards call for applications now open

e-Swabhimani, the Digital Social Impact awards opened calling for applications for year 2018 on 7 June. To be in line with the Government Policy on digitisation of the economy e-Swabhimani is now in the process of recognising digital applications/solutions that has a positive social impact. 

It provides a platform for solution providers to showcase their products nationally and internationally. 

Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) organises this annually and it is held for the eighth consecutive year in 2018. The closing date of the applications is 25 July.

The application call is open under nine categories which are; Government and Citizen Engagement, Health and Well-being, Learning and Education, Environment and Green Energy, Culture and Tourism, Smart Settlements and Urbanisation, Business and Commerce, Inclusion and Empowerment and Digital Entertainments. 

The contest is conducted along the lines of the World Summit Award, a global initiative within the framework of the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). An eminent panel of experts will evaluate the nominations.
