VSIS VMware holds technology forum ‘Business Empowerment for a Better Future’

V S Information Systems organised a technology knowledge sharing session along with VMWare to show how the VMware software defined data centre technologies are helping to empower the business. 

The key objective of this event was to share the latest solution insights of VMware and explain the business benefits to the enterprise customers of Sri Lanka.  This event was held at Hilton Colombo Residencies and was attended by many VMware customers in Sri Lanka. 

The keynote was delivered by VMware, Inc Senior Technology Consultant Regie Yogendran. Yogendran explained how the software defined data centre has helped to reduce the costs and helped the Customers to enable lower TCO. VMware vSAN and VMware NSX were focal points of his discussion and he showed how VMware vSAN could deliver the required performance for enterprise applications without any downtime or vendor lock in. 

He further explained how the VMware’s strategy for hybrid cloud along with VMware’s cloud partners such as AWS, IBM SoftLayer as well as local ISPs such as Sri Lanka Telecom and Dialog Axiata could help customers enjoy the benefits of hybrid cloud with a single pane of glass. 

Yogendran went on to explain how the VMware’s strategic hardware partners could eliminate the storage lock in with many certified vSAN hardware platforms which would provide reliable and highly efficient storage systems which provides agility and openness compared with traditional enterprise storage. 

VSIS is a VMware Enterprise business partner and maintains strategic partnerships with HPE, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, ArcServe, Veeam, Commvault and Cisco to deliver secure and scalable software defined data centre solutions. 

VSIS has a strong VMware practice led by a well-qualified product manager and a number of VMware certified professionals who have the skills of both VMware and Systems integration. VSIS key VMware customers include multiple telecom, textile and garment sector and banking customers.

VSIS has been helping Sri Lankan customers experience and test the software defined data centre using the VSIS customer experience centre where latest VMware technologies such as hyper-converged infrastructure and NSX are implemented. 

VMware Partner and Business Manager Devendra Manuvel spoke about the key strengths of VMware. He highlighted the fact that VSIS has a large number of VMware certified professionals and also carries the highest number of VMware competencies as a VMware partner. He further highlighted the recognition of VSIS as the VMware Solution provider of the year 2018 at VMware’s annual Partner Leadership Forum for Emerging Asia.
