Tech entrepreneur Wellington invests, joins Board of start-up Cemex HRM

Cemex HRM recently announced the appointment of tech investor Wellington Perera as a non-Executive Director of the Company.  

Perera is an avid contributor to the local ICT industry for many years and an experienced technology and business strategist. He had been a key proponent in building a vibrant tech eco-system around Microsoft technologies in Sri Lanka. Work he carried out during his 12-year tenure in Microsoft helped over a million students across the country gain new tech skills. 

He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Enhanzer Ltd and serves as an immediate Past President of the FITIS Software Chapter and a former Board Director of the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS).

Speaking of his new appointment at Cemex HRM, Perera said: “Over the years I’ve seen how Cemex HRM’s cloud based HR solutions have helped businesses in various industries in Sri Lanka to streamline their HR processes with a 3 fold growth rate since start-up inception. With the outbreak of Covid-19 and a lockdown in place nearly for two months, I heard a lot of positive comments about the benefits Cemex HRM solution provided their customers especially in terms of working from home and processing payroll on the cloud. I’m confident that these are exactly the type of services any company would need to manage their HR, as most businesses now look at restarting and adapting to the new normal.”

The Board of Directors of Cemex HRM will now comprise of Ziyam Kamil, Farhard Hussain, Chittananda Kulatilake, Imran Vilcassim and Wellington Perera.

Cemex Software Ltd. is a start-up focusing on a Cloud based Human Talent Management software. Cemex HRM now serves over 150 customers on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The company is backed by their parent company Cenmetrix Ltd, with over 15 years market experience.
