LakMobile Technology Solutions Ltd. won the 2019 eSwabhimani Award for the 1990 Suwaseriya Mobile App developed for the iOS platform under the Health and Wellbeing category.

Reaching the patient’s location as soon as possible is a very crucial factor in any ambulance service due to the fact that the patient’s entire life is dependent on this time factor. The mobile app automatically transmits the present GPS location of the mobile phone when the user clicks the ‘Call’ button that initiates a voice call. The voice call is made through the traditional PSTN line while the GPS coordinates are transmitted to the 1990 call centre via GPRS. The call agent is able to see the exact location of the patient and can transmit it to the terminal in the ambulance so that it can arrive at the patient’s location quickly.

As a technology-based startup, LakMobile is proud to develop this mobile application as one of its CSR projects that directly helps to save human lives. Founded in the year 2016 and previously won the NBQSA award as the best startup company, LakMobile has grown rapidly over this short span and now caters to the transportation and telecommunication sectors in developing state-of-the-art real-time web and mobile applications. Presently, its client base includes Sri Lanka’s largest taxi companies, telecom service providers and construction companies.
