NHRDC conducts Career Fair in Galle

The National Human Resources Development Council of Sri Lanka (NHRDC), in collaboration with the Galle District Secretariat, Chamber of Commerce, Department of Manpower, BOI, EFC, Sunday Observer and TVEC, recently held their second career fair in Galle. The focus was to reduce the unemployment number and facilitate jobseekers to find work according to skills, talents and interests. Around 500 students attended the event. NHRDC Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody said NHRDC has scheduled eight events for the year to give students and employers a chance to meet one another, establish professional relationships, and discuss potential job and/or internship opportunities. Weerakkody said many employers from a variety of industries will attend, and NHRDC plans to conduct both general and specialised career fair events throughout the year.
