The Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka), the premier professional management body in Sri Lanka, will host a virtual forum to talk about the “The Decade of the High-tech Manager” on Thursday, 24 September, from 11 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m.

This will be the twentieth presentation after nineteen fruitful presentations organised as a service to members and the business community by the CPM Institute on various topics relevant to the modern manager.

Heraclitus of Ephesus said, “change is the only constant in life”. To change with change or adapt to change is a task rather than a habit. Most of us don’t like change since we are not trained to change. What will be the Social, Economic, Legal, Political, Ecological and Technological landscape for the new Manager in an age when Man is colonising the moon and stepping on Mars? Are our new managers ready for 2030? How can we groom our future managers to be AI or EI? What challenges us the most? The Webinar will focus on these factors and what it is to be a New Normal high-tech manager in the new decade.

This will be enlightened by a key presentation from General Manager Corporate Strategy, Sales and Marketing Hashan Haputhanthri, followed by a panel discussion which will be moderated by CPM Sri Lanka Governing Council Member and Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Assistant General Manager Bancassurance & Alternate Distribution Roshan Collas. Two learned panellists, LOLC Life Assurance Chief Executive Officer Nadeeka Opatha and Rainco Ltd. Chief Operating Officer Ahamed M. Aroos, will share an in-depth overview of the theme and share their experiences in the field.

Participants can access the webinar free of charge. CPM Sri Lanka invites interested participants to register for this webinar emailing [email protected] or contact CPM Secretariat on 0112590995. CPM Sri Lanka is engaged in the conduct of professional management diploma programmes, executive management development programs, knowledge sharing sessions, research forums, international management conferences, release of bi-annual management journals and organising various other networking events for its members and well-wishers.
