The spirit of Vesak shines

Despite concerns of COVID-19 and social distancing measures being in place, Vesak was celebrated around the country yesterday. Fewer devotees were seen at Kelaniya Temple, but their faith was undimmed, and a Sil program was held at the Infectious  Diseases Hospital (IDH). In addition, a dry goods distribution program was held at the Gangaramaya Temple to aid families struggling due to livelihood losses  – Pix by Pradeep
