LOLC sells 26% stake in BPPL Holdings for Rs. 1.3 b

LOLC's fully owned subsidiary LOLC Investments Ltd., has sold its 26.25% stake in BPPL Holdings, exporter of brushes using recycled material, to parent's Executive Director Kalsha U. Amarasinghe for Rs. 1.3 billion. 

The stake amounting to 80.546 million shares was sold at Rs. 16 each. 

Kalsha is the wife of Dr. K. Anush Amarasinghe, Managing Director/CEO of BOOL Holdings Plc. Following the yesterday's transaction, Dr. Amarasinghe together with his family directly and indirectly hold 76.6% of BPPL Holdings Plc.

In the September quarter the highest price was Rs. 14.50 and lowest was Rs. 9.10, whilst it closed at Rs. 13.90. Net asset per share is Rs. 10 as at 30 September 2020.

Yesterday, the share price closed at Rs. 16.20, up by 70 cents or 4.5% from Wednesday.
