Leading finance company HNB Finance closed out what has been a dominant year for it on the awards circuit by clinching the Silver Award in the Non-Banking Financial Services Sector category of the National Business Excellence Awards 2019, held on 13 December.

The event, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, celebrates the efforts of the country’s top corporations to excel in their chosen field over the course of the year.

“We are delighted to have had our efforts validated through such prestigious recognition. Each year we look to adhere to a mantra of improving and innovating our internal processes, products and services. So to continually secure so many awards throughout the year offers affirmation that we are on the right path, one which will lead to increased value for our most cherished stakeholders – our customers,” said HNB Finance Managing Director/CEO Chaminda Prabath.

The winners of a National Business Excellence Award undergo an extremely meticulous evaluation process conducted by a panel of preeminent professionals and academics.

The winners’ applications are first judged against a seven-point criterion before being selected for further scrutiny across three other stages comprising a Desk Review, Interviews and the Judges’ Final Review.

HNB Finance’s most recent accolade adds to the raft of awards the firm has been presented with throughout 2019.

These include being named the Best CSR Finance Company in Sri Lanka by the prestigious International Business Magazine, securing a Gold Award at the 8th ACEF Asian Leaders Forum and Awards, Silver at the W3 awards and winning Gold and Silver Awards at the BestWeb.lk 2019.

Established in 2000, HNB Finance Ltd. is a subsidiary of HNB PLC and is licensed as a registered Finance Company by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Maintaining an extensive island-wide presence across 48 branches and 21 service centres, HNB Finance has over the recent past expanded into new fields of business and now offers Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) loans in addition to savings, gold loans, education loans, home loans, personal loans, fixed deposit facilities and leasing products.
