Cultural extravaganza at Vihara Mahadevi Open Air Theatre

To celebrate70 years of India’s Independence, a special festival – UTSAV – Glimpses of India, will be organised by Indian Cultural Centre from 17-19 November at the Vihara Mahadevi Open Air Theatre in Colombo. 

The inaugural ceremony will be held on 17 November at 6:30 p.m. with a special Punjabi Folk Dance and Music performance by renowned artists from Punjab, India. During the festival from 18-19 November day-long activities including Yoga sessions, age old traditional medical systems, Taste of India (live demonstrations of cuisines from various parts of India), Hindi learning, Bollywood Films, Dance and Music, handicraft and handloom exhibitions are planned.
