TISSL is the Association of the Premier International Schools in Sri Lanka. Since 1987, the Heads of the Pioneer International Schools in Sri Lanka functioned as an association which was informally called the ‘Association of Heads of International Schools in Sri Lanka’. This Association that has grown to 25 member schools, formally identifies themselves as ‘The International Schools of Sri Lanka (TISSL)’ since February 2013.

The member schools all share the common values of providing a high quality international education based upon British and international examinations and national curriculum in English Medium. The member schools are further distinguished by a commitment to provide a holistic approach to the development of young people within the context of promoting and upholding the values and culture of Sri Lanka.

TISSL Executive committee joined hands with other member schools of the Association to take steps to be part of the relief program on behalf of the public affected by the recent adverse weather conditions and floods.

A contribution of Rs. 250,000 each has been donated to two schools (Seewali Maha Vidyalaya and Yakdehiwatta Vidyalaya ) in the Ratnapura District on 19 June. The sincerest hope of TISSL is that their humble contribution would assist both the schools to get reorganised from the disaster faced.

Kumari Grero Chairperson of TISSL – Coordinating Principal of Lyceum International Schools, Malithi Jayatissa General Secretary of TISSL – Director of Leeds International Schools, Chrishanthi Wickrama Arachchi Secretary (Public Relations) of TISSL – Principal of Regent International College, Hemal Abeysekara – Treasurer of TISSL – Director of OKI International School, Malith Kumarasinghe – Deputy Coordinating Principal of Lyceum International Schools Representing the Former Executive Committee and Rajeev Ekanayake – Principal of Lyceum International School Ratnapura were present at this occasion.
