Bairaha sponsors ‘Siththam 2019’ as Food Partner to foster creativity among next generation

Bairaha Farms PLC, Sri Lanka’s pioneer and leading chicken processors and suppliers recently sponsored the ‘Siththam 2019’ art exhibition as Food Partner to assist in fostering the habit of creativity among youth from around the island.

Organised by the Royal College Union, ‘Siththam 2019’ art exhibition is an ideal platform to give for many budding artists to showcase their talents, as well as to enhance Bairaha Farms PLC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) too.

The third edition, ‘Siththam 2019’ art exhibition was held at the Royal MAS Arena, and saw over 2,500 paintings on display, with over 4,000 parents, students, well-wishers and art enthusiasts gathered under one roof.

“Sponsoring this event as the Food Partner provided us with the necessary reach to engage with children from across the island, giving us opportunity to not only represent ourselves as a good corporate citizen, but actively assist to seek and bring out the hidden talents among the next generations,” said Bairaha Farms PLC Brand Manager Ravin Madusanka

During the month of September, a series of workshops were held for students from Grade 1 to Grade 5 by the University of Visual and Performing Arts, at the end of which students were required to submit their drawings.

A total of 165 awards were adjudicated for Royal College students while 40 awards were adjudicated per each other invitee school. All the submissions were independently judged by a judging panel consisting of members from the University of Visual and Performing Arts.
