Senior Minister for International Monitory Co-operation and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Sarath Amunugama was the Chief Guest at the Thames College Graduation Ceremony 2013, held on 5 August at the Hilton Colombo Residence. Around 40 graduands were awarded certificates after the completion of the studies of the degree course relating to tourism and management. The first-ever overseas examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) which was conducted in Qatar recently concluded successfully with an impressive number of CA Sri Lanka students working in Qatar participating in the Strategic Level examinations. The exams was conducted in the strictest of standards under the strict supervision of a team of CA Sri Lanka examinations supervisors led by a specially appointed overseas examination supervisor. Raffles to invest $ 70 m in higher education institute

Raffles Colombo, a unique education provider in Sri Lanka specialising in art and design, has entered into an agreement with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) to establish and build a higher education institute in Sri Lanka.
