Objective and application
The objectives of these principles are to strengthen the ethical behaviour and professional conduct of the officials in the stock broking industry. They apply to all stockbroker firms of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) who are members of the Colombo Stock Brokers Association (CSBA).

Sri Lanka’s stand at UNHRC
Mr. President, the Resolution before the Council today is premised upon Resolution 19/2 of 2012 which was not recognised by Sri Lanka. Despite our dissociation with that initiative, I must point out the salient features of that Resolution which called for Sri Lanka to implement the recommendations of its domestic mechanism, the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) and to formulate an action plan for implementation.
Indian approach
Mr. President, allow me to make a few remarks on the resolution under discussion ‘Promoting Reconciliation and Accountability in Sri Lanka’.
India believes that the report of the LLRC and its findings and recommendation provides a window of opportunity to forge a consensual way forward towards a lasting political settlement through genuine national reconciliation and the full enjoyment of human rights by all its citizens.
International community sending a message to Sri Lanka: US Ambassador to UN
Geneva: The United States Ambassador to the Permanent Mission of the US to the UN in Geneva says the resolution adopted Thursday by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on the human rights situation, reconciliation and accountability in Sri Lanka is a message sent by the international community for Sri Lanka to take “meaningful steps toward truth and accountability”.
