President orders release of Fonseka

Reuters: Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered the early release from jail of his highest-profile political rival Sarath Fonseka, the president’s spokesman said on Sunday, in an apparent bid to quell international criticism of the government’s human rights record.

Amadeus has revealed the ‘Top 3’ technology demands from Asia Pacific travel agents in 2012, following its annual Asia Pacific Customer ThinkTank held in Hong Kong this year.
Over 40 C-level travel agency customers from across Asia Pacific joined the event to discuss key issues that the travel industry is facing in 2012, share opinions and ideas, and discuss their top technology demands to meet their evolving business needs.

Mauritius, Somalia in deal to prosecute pirates

PORT LOUIS,(Reuters): Mauritius said on Friday it has agreed to prosecute Somali pirates, helping overcome one of the hurdles to cracking down on the wave of piracy that has hit international shipping.
The island nation said it had reached agreement with Somalia, and the semi-autonomous regions of Somaliland and Puntland, to accept suspected pirates for prosecution and trial starting in June.

Status update: Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg gets married

REUTERS: Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg wed longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan on Saturday, announcing the nuptials through a status update on the social networking site.
The 28-year-old billionaire’s wedding took place a day after Facebook’s initial public offering on the Nasdaq stock exchange on Friday.
