Reuters: Honda Motor Co launched the lowest-cost motorbike in its line-up last week for sale in the India market, aiming to double India’s share of its motorcycle revenue by the end of the decade while racing to catch up with rivals in fast-growing emerging markets.

Califolink Logistics to aid automotive sector’s shift to Hambantota
Califolink Logistics has successfully signed agreements with the leading automobile importers to begin clearing, conducting pre delivery inspection and transportation of cars from the Hambantota port from 31 May .
This agreement will result in the company handling over 1500 cars monthly making it the largest supply chain service provider for this sector.

Q1 electric car battery prices drop 14 % on year
LONDON (Reuters): The average price of an electric vehicle-grade battery fell 14 per cent year-on-year to $689 per kilowatt hour in the first quarter as manufacturing capacity outstripped demand, a report by Bloomberg New Energy Finance said on Tuesday.
Lower battery costs for electric vehicles could improve their commercial uptake, which has been slow. The United States wants to see up to 1 million electric and plug-in hybrids on its roads by the middle of next decade.
