Citrus Leisure resolves dispute on Passikudah land

Citrus Leisure Plc said yesterday that the dispute over the title of property of its subsidiary Passikudah Beach resort has been resolved with payment of Rs. 80 million in accordance with the settlement terms entered in Court. New Govt. bans foreigners from mining gems

President Maithripala Sirisena has given instructions to relevant officials not to let any foreign national or a foreign company mine gems in Sri Lanka. The President said the Government is not ready to endow the local gem industry to foreign companies and instructed the officials to refuse requests for gem mining.
