Kandy craves for capital market!
Nearly 2,000 people mostly potential and new investors thronged the Capital Market Investor Day in Kandy City Centre organised by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in partnership with Colombo Stock Exchange’s Kandy Branch. Over 20 representatives from broking firms and unit trust management companies attended the event held from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. The Investor Day included an exhibition of investment products and services as well as a seminar in both Sinhala and Tamil medium. The Kandy event was the second in the series of local road shows promoted by the SEC. The first was held in Galle Town Hall a few weeks ago drawing over 1,000 mainly young and new investors.
