agxa, an AG International company, is an international trade and offshore business entity operating in Australia, Sri Lanka, India, and Singapore with principal networks in Asia, Europe and North America has now gained the most credible certification in the forest trade – Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Certification through SCS Global Services.

FSC is the most rigorous international standard for responsible forestry. FSC certified forests conserve biological diversity, water resources and crucial ecosystems. The FSC standard also upholds worker rights and supports economic prosperity in surrounding communities. FSC Chain of Custody Certification ensures that certified wood products are tracked from forest to final product (and if applicable, that qualified recycled materials are used), adding legitimacy to the FSC claim throughout the supply chain.

SCS Global Services (SCS) is a leader in environmental and sustainability certification. A founding member and one of the first certification bodies accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council in 1996, SCS is one of the world’s leading FSC certifiers with more than 41 million acres of responsibly managed forests and more than 5,600 FSC Chain of Custody Certificates issued worldwide.

After evaluating agxa’s operations under the stringent FSC Chain of Custody Standard, SCS found that they complied with the standard, with regards to trading paper and paper products using the transfer system.

“SCS congratulates agxa on achieving a multi-site certification, as it demonstrates their extensive efforts to use responsibly sourced products in their supply chain,” said Sarah Harris, SCS Director of Chain of Custody Services.

agxa is the holder of FSC CoC Certificate SCS-COC-006137 with the Trademark License No. FSC-C138166.

Highlighting the importance of ethical and socially responsible business entities, Anton Godfrey, Founder and Executive Chairman of agxa, stated that agxa thrives to excel in customer service whilst maintaining world-class standards in every aspect. “As part of this exercise we have now achieved the FSC COC certification that will certainly add value to our printing, publishing and packaging cluster.”

agxa represents a diversified portfolio specialising in energy resources, pulp and paper, technology and futures-sugar, global offshore and outsourcing.
