Organised by IAA Sri Lanka Chapter with the aid of Metal Factor, the local Young Lions Competition rounded up individuals from all over the country into one location, to inspire and generate talent and creativity. Out of the vast number of enthusiastic individuals, only the best were selected to represent Sri Lanka on the global platform, widely known as the Olympics of the advertising arena.

Under the film category of the local competition, teams were given 3 days to produce the most original, artistic, and captivating content that appealed to the audience, confronting the topic of ‘racial prejudice in Sri Lanka’. The winning entry by Triad was able to capture the essence of human nature, and challenge the stereotype of a religious minority in Sri Lanka.

The eminent Young Lions Competition takes place annually at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This global platform features the best talent from all parts the world, and is designed to inspire and uncover talent for the future of the industry. This competition acts as a great opportunity for competitors aged 30 and below to exhibit their creativity in front of a large global audience, along with the exposure and transfer of knowledge.
