Mattakelle Estate sets up yet another all-time record price

Mattakelle Estate managed by Talawakelle Tea Estates Plc once again established an all-time record price of Rs. 930 for a line of Dust1 grade at the weekly tea auction held on 27 September.

This surpasses the previous all-time record price of Rs. 910 for the same grade which was established two weeks ago by the same estate. 

Mattakelle Estate, situated in the Western Planting District, is renowned for its well-made teas for quality and consistency. This line of tea was purchased by S.B. Kahawatte and the sale was conducted by John Keells Plc.
