GEW 2020 to build Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial ecosystem

This November, the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) celebrates 12 years of helping millions of people unleash their ideas to start and scale new businesses through Global Entrepreneurship Week https://www.genglobal.org/gew

The campaign began in 2008 with an emphasis on inspiring young people to make their mark and has grown to engage entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, and support organisations advancing innovation and economic growth in 180+ countries around the world.

Over 35,000 activities hosted by 15,000 partner organisations and leaders will engage more than 10 million participants during #GEW2020, connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors. 

Here’s how you can get involved!



Step 1: Create your GEN profile

It all starts by joining GEN.

Step 2: Organise an event or activity 

Inspire your local entrepreneurial community to engage in events and activities, while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors. By organising an event or activity during GEW, you will help strengthen your local startup ecosystem while taking part of a global movement.

Step 3: Find an event or activity

Tens of thousands of events, activities and competitions take place during GEW each year.

 Step 4: Connect + Engage

GEN includes individuals and organisations from all parts of the entrepreneurial ecosystems of more than 180 countries. This is where you can find, connect and collaborate with entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers and others promoting entrepreneurship around the world.

Use the GEN Member Directory https://www.genglobal.org/member-directory to find and connect with other #GEW2020 participants and organisers.

Click the Message button on their profile page to send them a note. Messages you receive from other members can be found on your profile page on the Message tab.
