Tea Sale Averages gain by 30% in July

Sri Lanka Tea Sale Averages for July 2017 recorded a gain of Rs. 139.46 or 30% from a year earlier. 

Ceylon Tea Brokers Plc said high growns for July recorded Rs. 557.47 against Rs. 418.85 (+Rs.138.62) in 2016. Medium growns recorded Rs. 526.51 vis-à-vis Rs. 401.40 (+Rs.125.11) in 2016. Low growns recorded Rs. 617.94 vis-à-vis Rs. 476.66 (+Rs.141.28) in 2016.

The cumulative figure for January/July stood at Rs. 611.94 vis-à-vis Rs. 429.07 in 2016. High Growns recorded Rs. 584.42 as against Rs. 422.17 in 2016. Medium Growns recorded Rs. 566.28 vis-à-vis Rs. 391.47 in 2016. Low Growns recorded Rs. 633.73 vis-à-vis Rs. 441.26 in 2016. The total CTC average for July 2017 recorded Rs. 511.90. CTC High growns recorded Rs. 553.56, CTC Medium Growns were at Rs. 519.99 while CTC Low growns recorded Rs. 495.71.
