MCA “F” Division 25 Over League Tournament begins after Avurudu break

The second Commercial Credit & Finance PLC sponsored – MCA “F” Division 25 Over League Tournament 2017 was back on rails after the New Year holidays last weekend.

The weekend’s highest team total – 228 for 6 in 25 overs – came from Palliyaguruge Group vs. Janashakthi Insurance; the lowest total came from Barthi Airtel – 43 all out in 13.4 overs vs. MAS Kreeda.

Sajith Dissanayake from Hayleys Group “C” hit a sparkling century (101 in 50 balls inclusive of eight sixes and an equal number of fours) vs. HSBC “C”; Hayleys won the match by 143 runs. 

Technomedics recorded a close 13-run win over United Tractors, thanks to the 53 ball, 86 runs , which included four sixes and 10 fours, scored by Anjana Ushantha.

Access Group scored a comfortable six-wicket win over Allianz Finance, as their right arm leg spinner, Nishantha Nimron finished with impressive figures of 5-12-5 to skittle out the Financiers for 107 runs in 25 overs.

A belligerent unbroken second wicket stand of 111 runs in 81 balls between Kavinda Perera (87 not out in 70 balls inclusive of two sixes and 12 fours) and Nelson Kennedy (40 not out) propelled Asia Capital to a 09 wickets win over EB Creasey.

Chamara Dilruk with an inspired spell of bowling (4.3 – 1 – 15 – 5) helped Ansell Lanka to beat new comers, Jay Lanka by 63 runs.
