Abbotsleigh Estate selling under garden mark ‘Florence’, situated in the Hatton region has achieved an all time record price of Rs. 550 on two invoices of BP1 in the category CTC High at the weekly tea auction held on 10 January 2017.

These lines were purchased by George Steuarts Teas Ltd. and Heritage Teas Ltd.

Abbotsleigh Estate is managed by Watawala Plantations PLC and the sale was conducted by Tea Broker John Keells PLC. 21

Delta Estate sets all time record prices

 At this week’s Ex-Estate Tea Auction held on 10 January 2017, Delta Estate, situated in Pussellawa has established an all time record price of Rs. 540 for two invoices of BP1 in the CTC Medium category. These lines were purchased by Heritage Teas Ltd., and RJ Tea Products Ltd. The selling broker was M/s John Keells PLC. Delta Estate comes under the purview of Pussellawa Plantations Ltd.

Carolina Estate achieves an all time record price

Carolina Estate managed by Watawala Plantations PLC established an ‘all time’ record price of Rs. 530 for an invoice of Medium Grown CTC BPS at the Colombo Tea Auctions concluded on 10 January 2017.

The purchase was made by Akbar Brothers Ltd. and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.22

All time record price for Suduwelipothahena CTC 

Galpaditenne Tea Factory situated in Lellopitiya, Ratnapura, established an all time record price at the weekly tea auction of 10 January 2017 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 570 per kg for an OF grade in the Low Grown CTC category.

This line was purchased by K DU Exports and the sale was conducted by Tea Broker John Keells PLC. 23

NildalukandaTea Factory situated in Gampola, established an all time record price at the weekly tea auction of 10 January 2017 by securing an attractive price of Rs. 510 per kg for a BPS grade in the Low Grown CTC category.

This line was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd. and the sale was conducted by Tea Broker John Keells PLC. 

Nildalukanda Tea Factory is managed by Walters Bay Estates Ltd.24
