Renowned photographer Sandun Gamage to hold exhibition in Verona, Italy

Renowned photographer Sandun Gamage will hold a photographic exhibition on 25 and 26 June 2016 in Verona, Italy. 

A freelance feature writer and photographer of the Sunday Lankadeepa  published by Wijeya Newspapers Ltd., Sandun has been a professional photographer for over two decades covering a vast field of photography including fashion, travel, weddings and popular film stars. 6

His first Photographic Exhibition “Stars of Brides” was held at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery in Colombo in 2004. It was followed by an exhibition titled “Sendai My Brides” 2014 at the same venue. 

Sandun’s first photographic exhibition in a foreign country was held in Melbourne in Australia in 2015. The exhibition was named “Enchanting Sri Lanka” and was organised by the AUSCA organisation of the Sri Lankan expatriates in Australia. It was also the first ever photographic exhibition held  in Australia by a Sri Lankan photographer and turned out to be a great success. 

The upcoming exhibition in Venice, Italy is titled “Enchanting Sri Lanka” and will be held at Via Albere Sporting Club in Verona. It is organised by Centro Migranti of Verona and coincides with a world music festival. The exhibition will open from  5 p.m. on 25 June and at 3 p.m. on 26 June.  Sandun said beautiful scenes of Sri Lanka including the world famous Dalada procession in Kandy which is a grand cultural pageant, places of religious worship, super stars, and wedding photos will be on display. Sandun is inviting all Sri Lankan expatriates in Italy to attend his exhibition. He is also planning to hold similar exhibitions in Rome and Milan after Verona.
