ADMO Solar, the renewable energy division of Vinseth Engineering commenced business in 2006 providing a wide spectrum of solar energy products specialising in supplying and installing of solar energy systems which include solar photovoltaic systems (PV), solar water heating solutions, solar powered street lights and garden light systems.

Since their inception, ADMO Solar has converted over 200 households into generating electricity using the power of the sun. In addition, many commercial business owners have put forward their faith in the solutions ADMO Solar has provided in reducing their electricity costs and as of this day, many business owners have joined hands with ADMO Solar to rid themselves of committing to larger monthly bill. What’s more is that in addition to the solar energy solutions provided to the residential and commercial clients, ADMO Solar has identified unique and smart ways through which the government institutes can be made energy independent.

That is why ADMO Solar is the first ever solar energy solution provider in the country to offer solar energy solutions to the government sector. Today, ADMO Solar stands strong with the highest number of government clientele on their portfolio.

2016 is a vital year for ADMO Solar as they have plans to introduce various new solutions that are customised for each need. These solutions will be available for all residential, commercial and government sector customers. The all new company tagline for 2016 ‘Redefined solar energy solutions to empower Sri Lanka’ is the summary for all the great things the team at ADMO Solar has planned for 2016 and beyond. Apart from being a key solution provider in the industry, ADMO Solar has embarked on a journey to educate the masses about the rights and wrongs of solar energy, the benefits of becoming energy independent and how solar energy is the number one solution to combat climate change.

‘Light to enlighten’ is a community-driven, non-profit organisation initiated by ADMO Solar to provide free electricity to under privileged people around the country. This initiative will also make arrangements to provide electricity to places where the grid power is not available. ‘Solar Ambassador’ is another program by ADMO Solar to get the public involved in promoting solar electricity in Sri Lanka.

To sum it up, Marketing Manager Rumesh R. Jayasekara stated that, “An energy system with high sources of renewable energy will be more cost-efficient as it will rely on long term cheaper power sources. Our customers now have a golden opportunity with tailor-made design solutions to meet the ever increasing demand for uninterrupted power sources.”

To make this whole process smooth and hassle free ADMO Solar relies on leading supplies in the world. Their solar inverter provider – SMA is ranked at No. 1 in the world while the solar panels from Canadian Solar are ranked No. 2 in the world for its product quality. Also, every installation is protected by two surge protectors imported from the USA and this unit is provided free of charge. While the present looks promising, we spoke to Dinesh Perera who is the manager for engineering and operations, and asked him about the future vision of the company.

“The opening of energy markets for different uses and purposes, not only on the supply but on the demand side, will be a key success factor for the company’s upcoming new innovative products that have been designed to meet precisely this need.”
