AMW rolls out newest scooter Yamaha Fascino for young trendsetters

Yamaha last week launched an iconic scooter named ‘Fascino’ at Hilton Colombo Residences recently, in the presence of Associated Motor Ways (AMW) Group Managing Director Samantha Rajapaksa, Director Passenger Vehicle Yohann De Zoysa, Yamaha General Manager Shehann de Zoysa, Manager Sales and Operations gh5Zahran Ziyawudeen and Umino Tomohiro, Ohno lzumi and Yamauchi Minoru representing Yamaha Japan.

Fascino has a trendy design and a modern retro look that would attract the trendy youth who are fashionable, adventurous and unconventional. Fascino is powered by an 113cc engine, four stroke air-cooled SOHC 2 valve which churns out power of 7.1 PS at 7,500 rpm and produces B.1Nm at 5,000 rpm torque. The scooter engine comes with ‘Blue core’ technology and gives a mileage of 66kmpl.

The overall length of the scooter is 1,815mm, width 675mm and height is at 1,120mm respectively. It has a wheelbase of 1,27A mm and ground clearanre of 130mm. the braking system has a set of 130mm disc brake in both front and rear. Suspension system features a telescopic front suspension and unit swing at the rear. It comes with attractive grab bars at the back and a meter panel, and comfortable seats.

Fascino has also been developed eccentrically based on the concept of dynamic elegance, classy tailoring and balance of function and design. The scooter is available in five attractive colours, namely, rogue red, haute white, sassy cyan, cool cobalt and tuxedo black. The seat can hold 21 litres of fuel under the cover, and also has storage space for essentials such as water bottles, sunglasses and wallets. There is more space for personal belongings such as bag holders. 

Fascino boasts features such as a long and comfortable seat, chromium-edged side mirrors and a 3D logo on the chromium cover that enhances the stylishness of the scooter. This is further boosted by the state-of-the-art headlamps that are unique in design.
