Malaysia-based Malindo Air begins flights to Colombo on 18 Dec

Malaysia based Malindo Air has opened bookings for its new service from Kuala Lumpur to Colombo Sri Lanka, the airline said in a statement today.

The up-and-coming airline with headquarters in Petaling Jaya said the daily flights to Colombo will start on 18 December. The flight between Kuala Lumpur and Colombo will take three hours 25 minutes.

The budget carrier, a joint venture between Indonesian Lion Air and Malaysia’s National Aerospace and Defense Industries, will offer daily services using Boeing 737 aircraft.

The promotional fares for the services from KL-Colombo start from RM339 (approximately Rs. 11,500) for economy class and RM579 (approximately Rs. 19,600) for business class one-way, all inclusive of perks such as free baggage allowance, in-flight entertainment, meal and light refreshments, the airline said.
