Rewarding internships with Fast Track 15

Founded in 2011, the Fast Track 15 Internship Program envisages motivating the best, young undergraduates to take advantage of the professional benefits of a well-recognised internship right here in Sri Lanka. The program also provides a framework by which these candidates from diverse academic backgrounds are stimulated through real life experiences. Three corporate giants, namely Ceylon Tobacco Company, HSBC and John Keells Holdings PLC collaborated in 2011, to introduce this concept.  Since then, the program has attracted and mentored many talented young undergraduates who have become valuable contributors to numerous companies in Sri Lanka and around the world. The Fast Track 15 Internship Program is intended to introduce accomplished undergraduates to various aspects of the Sri Lankan job market. The six-week course will enable them to meet with some of the most eminent personalities in the corporate sector and be exposed to unique career opportunities through learning and understanding nine business sectors and operations.  It will further support to enhance their soft skills, through workshops aimed at improving networking, business etiquette and presentation skills. The benefits of the Fast Track 15 Internship Program are multi-fold, as it offers an opportunity to differentiate themselves in a highly competitive job market, by providing exposure to a ‘real world’ work environment with adequate supervision and nurturing to be leaders of tomorrow. The program has three phases which are corporate training, leadership training and project work. The program will be coupled with adventure-based management training sessions that will impart insights into experiential learning for a fast-paced corporate world. It will use an assortment of raw adventure and specific tools to tap development across the spectrum.
