Navin visits Israel for new technology

Minister of Plantation Industry Navin Dissanayake visited the WATEC exhibition in Israel recently.

The visit focused on finding new and practical technology solutions to support the plantation industry even during drought seasons to ensure a plentiful harvest and to support tea smallholders by introducing new water technologies so they can gain consistent income during the drought periods. 

The Minister was successful in negotiating long-term financing schemes from the manufacturers. He also succeeded in negotiating mobile desalination systems with financing schemes to be installed in several areas in Sri Lanka.
