Kirklees Estate amongst record books at Colombo Tea Auctions

At the Colombo Tea Auction held on 23 October, Kirklees Estate had the proud distinction of establishing an All Time Record Price of Rs. 740 for a BOP grade, in the Uda Pussellawa category. This line of tea was purchased by M/s. Heritage Teas Ltd.

Kirklees Estate is well reputed for producing high quality, award winning teas and has the distinction of achieving regular all-time record prices at the Colombo Tea Auctions in the Uda Pussellawa category.

Kirklees Estate was declared the winner for ‘The total excellence in tea production award’ for outstanding tea producers, in the Uda Pussellawa category by the Tea Exporters Association, at the 19th Annual General Meeting held on 31 August.

Kirklees Estate comes under the stewardship of Superintendent Varuna Athauda who has been behind the success of Kirklees Estate. Eastern Brokers Ltd. are the brokers associated with the sale of Kirklees Estate teas. Kirklees Estate comes under the management of RPC Management Services Ltd., of Richard Pieris Group of Companies.
