Ariya introduces highest quality Australian milk to Sri Lanka

Ariya Milk Products Ltd., a dairy company set up by veteran media personality and entrepreneur Deshamanya Deshabandu Ariyasiri Vitanage and Deshabandu Deshamanya D.L Weerasuriya, recently introduced the highest quality dairy milk to the Sri Lanka consumer. 

With more than 40 years of experience in the dairy and confectionary industry the full cream milk powder from Murray Goulburn Australia, one of the foremost milk producers in Australia. The milk powder is also considerably more affordable than what is currently available in the market.

Speaking on the introduction of the brand Deshamanya Vitanage noted: “When we set up the Ariya Food Company many years ago, our main aim was to provide the highest quality food items at affordable rates to the Sri Lankan consumer. Over the years we have ventured in to several food areas and have even succeeded in exporting Sri Lankan produce. The introduction of full cream milk comes at a very important juncture when there are so many questions in the market about the quality of what is available. Our guarantee therefore is that Ariya Milk is of the highest quality and 100% natural.”

The milk powder which is the only one in the market that comes from Australia, is also 100% natural certified with no added preservatives. The product has also been tested and contains no DCD, no melamine, no animal meat fat, and no vegetable fat/palm oil.

Ariya Milk comes in 400g and 1kg packs in both the tetra pack and cardboard box. The products are packaged at Ariya’s state-of-the-art packaging factory in Mount Lavinia, and is currently available at supermarkets and retailers in the Western Province. Plans are also underway to expand the distribution network making the product readily available to all Sri Lankans.

The Ariya Brand, which was initiated by Ariyasiri Vitanage in 1999, currently exports rice and spices to many countries such as USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Maldives, France, Germany Singapore, Italy, China , and GCC countries, while meeting a considerable portion of rice requirement in the country. Apart from rice, the brand also markets a wide range of products such as sugar, green gram, canned fish, chickpeas, and red split lentils for over 20 years.
