Trevine appointed Group Chief Risk Officer at DFCC

DFCC Bank announced the appointment of Trevine Fernandopulle as the bank’s Executive Vice President and Group Chief Risk Officer.

Prior to joining DFCC Bank, Fernandopulle worked at Bank of Ceylon as its Chief Risk Officer and has also served in senior roles at HSBC, functioning as its Deputy CEO and as the Saudi British Bank’s Manager for Credit Risk.

DFCC Bank Chief Executive Officer Nihal Fonseka stated: “We are very happy to have someone with Trevine’s skills and expertise in our senior team and I have no doubt that he will make a significant contribution to the continuous improvements to risk management that banks have to undertake to proactively deal with the many risks that are inherent in the banking business.”

Fernandopulle has extensive experience in lending and banking operations. He also holds a BSc (Hons) from Imperial College, University of London and an MSc in Statistics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of The Chartered Institute of Bankers, London.
