Australia approves TOEFL test scores for student visas

Students from around the world who wish to study in Australia can now use their TOEFL test scores as part of their visa application as announced by Australia’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

April tea output slips 5.6%

COLOMBO (Reuters) – Sri Lanka’s tea production in April fell 5.6 percent from a year earlier due to a high base effect as attractive global prices and good weather resulted in high output in the same month last year, the state-run tea board said on Monday.

All petitions against university leadership training to be heard on same day

Sri Lanka Supreme Court has decided today to consider all the fundamental rights petitions filed against the leadership training programme for the university students on the same day.
Accordingly, the petitions will be considered on 30 May, the Supreme Court said.

Sri Lanka and Italy agree on mutual recognition of driving licences
