IATA says passenger demand strengthens in Oct. Freight at a turning point

The International Air Transport Association last week announced international traffic results for October showing a 10.1% year-on-year increase in passenger demand and a 14.4% year-on-year increase for international freight.

This month’s G-20 meeting of industrialised countries was rife with talk of potential “currency wars,” in which states try to devalue their currencies to help their economies. While a central tension is the United States’ unhappiness with China’s undervalued yuan, the issue is really hydra-headed: One country’s actions can create many reactions globally.

Thai Air seeks to end state control

China urges emergency six-way consultations over North Korea

BEIJING, (Reuters) – China called on  Sunday for emergency consultations among six governments in moribund talks aimed at ending North Korea’s nuclear  programme, adding that they would not amount to a full restart of the negotiations.

India, Sri Lanka to resume Talaimannar-Rameswaram ferry service
